As an independent solution provider our Business Unit Performance Materials sources, develops, markets, and distributes a wide range of specialty chemicals and ingredients to business partners in the food and beverage, personal care and cosmetics, pharmaceutical, and specialty chemical industries. Thanks to our comprehensive networks and global relationships we provide reliable sourcing around the world with instant access to over 70 markets getting the best products at the best prices.
Our 18 application and formulation laboratories allow us to formulate solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers and create opportunities for our suppliers. Thanks to our deep industry expertise and the innovative approach of our industry experts, we research and develop new product ideas, value-added formulations, and in-depth applications. This is how we enable our more than 4,000 suppliers and 20,000 customers to benefit from strategic market insights, reduced time-to-market intervals, and new revenue opportunities, growing their business in new and existing markets.

Technology
The Business Unit Technology is a leading provider of Market Expansion Services offering technical solutions in the areas of Industry, Infrastructure, Energy, Research, Food & Beverage, and Advanced Metals. Our full-fledged service portfolio includes market entrance consultancy, product planning, marketing, sales, application engineering, after-sales services, and on-the-spot training. Through application engineering we deliver the know-how our customers need to make optimal use of the equipment we provide.
In addition, we operate our own test and application laboratories to supply customers with samples, feasibility and validation testing, and help them to develop new applications.
Our local, regional, and global networks, our proactive teams, and breadth of capabilities coupled with our leading expertise across industries enable us to understand our business partners’ needs and develop a mixture of customized products and services that help them become even more successful. Our specialists serve a customer base of over 5,000 companies, giving them access to new technologies. For our supplier base of over 700 renowned European, American and Asian manufacturers we help identify growth opportunities and create new markets.
